The Creative States Coalition, a fiscally sponsored project of Arts Alliance Illinois with 42 formal members and a network of over 100 participants, is seeking an innovative arts administrator and project manager, passionate about leveraging the arts, culture, and creativity as tools for advancing the health and vibrancy of the United States. The Project and Research Manager will be a big-picture thinker and a clear and concise communicator, skilled at program and project development and implementation. The successful candidate will have the ability to assess and respond to the interests and needs of CSC participants and stakeholders, building on current planning to create exciting opportunities in both programming and research that increase the strength of the entire national arts advocacy community as well as individual CSC members.
This role will have overall oversight on project planning and implementation for the Creative States Coalition and will report to the three co-chairs of the CSC. Ideal candidates should feel confident in shaping and supporting implementation of CSC activities, including programs, communications, research, and operations. With regard to research, candidates should be comfortable with overseeing commissioned research and ensuring its translatability and applicability but need not be able to develop research and data deliverables themselves.
While Arts Alliance is a fiscal sponsor of the Creative States Coalition, this is not an Arts Alliance position. This is a contract role that reports to the Creative States Coalition co-chairs.
