Get ready, as next year’s focus is America250, featuring poems celebrating the rich tapestry of American stories. Teachers and parents, share the list with your students… and students, it’s YOUR chance to shine!
The National Endowment for the Arts updated POL website https://www.poetryoutloud.org/ includes the anthology of poems for student selection and a new program guide for teachers/students for the coming program year. FEBRUARY 16 – Preliminary Round Video Submission Due
FEBRUARY 24 – State Qualifiers Notified
MARCH 10 – State Finals Competition in Sioux Falls
($150 stipend + travel reimbursement for teachers)
MAY 5-7 – National Finals Competition in Washington, DC
(All-expenses paid for state champion and chaperone)
