Hi, Have We Met? is looking for contributors through an Open Call for Papers & Artwork for its first issue that will be published this December (more information available on the open call link as well). Submissions or proposals are due by October 31, 2025 @ 11:59pm.
Hi, Have We Met? is a new independent print publication that highlights the work of artists, art historians, and arts administrators living in or originally from the broader Midwest (not including large cities with more robust art scenes like Chicago; i.e. emphasis on rural regions). The work featured in this publication will bring artists from underrepresented regions together in conversation, celebrate arts organizations and artist-run programs doing relevant work in their communities, and ultimately aims to create an open dialogue on what it means/looks like to forge a career in the arts when you’re from/live in what wouldn’t be considered an “art-hub” in the Midwest or wouldn’t pop up on most lists of “Art Cities in America.”
