The 2027 Open Call welcomes project proposals in Visual Arts, Performing Arts, Film, and Literature. Technology, multidisciplinary, and socially engaged projects are welcome in all categories. The application is open from March 2–April 2, 2026 at 3PM ET.
This grant cycle will culminate in approximately 100 artists receiving the Creative Capital Award—unrestricted project grants up to $50,000, plus professional development support—and the new State of the Art Prize—unrestricted artist grants of $10,000 for one artist in every U.S. state and territory.
