CASTING:
BHCT seeks a diverse cast of performers ages 18 and up. Unless specifically stated otherwise, roles are open to qualified actors of all races, colors, ethnicities, gender identities, ages and abilities. The director and production team are deeply committed to inclusion throughout the audition and rehearsal process.
AUDITIONS:
Monday January 6th- 6:30pm-8:30pm
Tuesday January 7th- 6:00pm-8:00pm
Performing Arts Center of Rapid City. 4th Floor Rehearsal Room. Use South Street Entrance.
Choose a day to audition and sign up for a slot below. If interested and unable to attend any audition time or callbacks, please contact merlyn@bhct.org by Friday December 27th to make alternative arrangements.
PREPARATION:
Auditions will consist of individual singing auditions and a group dance audition. Actors should prepare one minute from a song in the style of the show and bring either sheet music for the accompanist to the audition or email merlyn@bhct.org a link to a recorded accompaniment track by Friday January 3rd. Actors should dress to move or bring a change of clothes for the dancing portion of auditions. Those auditioning for female roles, should wear a character shoe or similar heel for the dance audition – BHCT will have some character shoes on hand but we can’t guarantee sizes.
CALLBACKS:
Saturday January 11th at 5pm, Performing Arts Center of Rapid City; Those who are needed to attend callbacks, will receive an email after the second night of auditions. Callbacks will consist of additional singing and dancing and reading from the script.
Important Dates:
Regular rehearsals (usually Sundays-Thursdays 6:30pm-9:30pm) will tentatively begin on Sunday January 26th.
Performance Dates:
March 14, 15, 21, 22 at 7:00pm
March 16, 23 at 2:00pm
