USD professor and photographer John Banasiak is the Vermillion Cultural Association’s first exhibiting artist of 2025. This collection of Van Dyke brown prints is full of mystery and almost unease, curated as they are from what Banasiak describes as a dream-like journey in Jordan.* An additional curiosity: the 1840s iron-based emulsion process used to develop them doesn’t require a dark room. The show is on display at the Coyote Gallery attached to the Coyote Twin Theater in Vermillion until February 28.
The artist exhibition reception Saturday, Feb 8, from 2pm to 5pm in the Coyote Gallery. You’re invited to attend the reception and ask more about these mysteries! Light refreshments provided.
