A poignant play by Lauren Gunderson about two vastly different high school classmates, homebound Caroline (sick with liver disease) and star athlete Anthony, forced to work on a Walt Whitman poetry project together, discovering deep connections and a shared future as Anthony reveals he’s a ghost whose donated liver is saving Caroline, emphasizing themes of connection, isolation, and what it means to be human.
