The Lakota Advocacy Center is excited to announce the 2026 Ohunkankan Storytelling Series, running February 17 – April 21, 2026.

This year’s series is a 10-week gathering held every Tuesday from 6:00–7:30 pm, featuring four invited speakers who will share their unique approaches, experiences, and teachings. Together, these sessions uplift Lakota knowledge around traditional foods, medicines, land stewardship, and plant sovereignty. Planning and facilitation will be led by LAC Director DeCora Hawk.

Our previous series drew over 2000 attendees, highlighting the passion of our community to learn about traditional plants and medicines and to reclaim our responsibility as stewards of our homelands.

We look forward to gathering with you to share knowledge, stories, and teachings that nourish our people and our land.
