ARTS SOUTH DAKOTA UPCOMING EVENTS
Through the development of original choreography, students work with the dance ensemble director to develop work that communicates with intention and purpose. Choreographers are free to imagine how the theme “Be” inspired dance composition and proved opportunity for creativity and intellectual discourse.
Wayfinder is an art exhibition at the Dahl Arts Center, presented by the Rapid City Arts Council & Big Read Rapid City. Artists were inspired by Andrew Krivak’s novel, The Bear. Phyllis W. Packard is a painter, weaver, and artist whose career spans sixty years. My Missouri River Valley is an exhibition of her more recent tapestries, needle felt paintings, and watercolor weavings. Artists and photographers, exhibitors and vendors, teachers and students, old and new participants, you are invited to join us for our 49th Annual Art Show. This year's show will take place on Saturday, April 12th, and Sunday, April 13th at the Scherr-Howe Event Center in Mobridge.
Governor Kristi Noem announced 12 students who are being recognized for their artistic talents through the Governor’s Student Art Competition.
