Bright Star takes us to the hills of Appalachia in the 1920s and 1940s. Based on an unbelievable but true story, the musical follows the interconnected lives of Alice, the spirited editor of a literary magazine, and Billy, a soldier returning from World War II. Steve Martin’s beautiful story is woven together with a folk and bluegrass score composed by Edie Brickel that is sure to have you tapping your toes on your way out of the theatre.
