Tipi Pop-Up
The New Old Art Collective (NOAC) is organizing another juried pop-up exhibition and this time the pop-up will be held in tipis! The Tipi Pop-Up will be held on August 23rd and 24th from 5:00 p.m. to 9:00 p.m on both days on the plot of land next to Dakota Crossing/Buche Foods on Highway 10. The Tipi Pop-Up is open to ALL current members of NOAC and those joining NOAC. New art work can be created for the pop-up or existing works of art —your choice. Larger works of art like sculpture may be displayed outside of a tipi. This pop-up will not have a particular theme, however, artists are encouraged to consider the surrounding site, message, influences, unity, and impact. Only one piece per artist will be chosen and displayed.
Artists are also welcomed to set up their own booth or canopy to display and sell their art work. However, if someone is interested in purchasing your art work within the pop-up, we encourage you to make arrangements with the buyer until after the Tipi Pop-Up. Placement and location of artist booths or canopy will be decided as we move closer to the opening date. Artist are responsible to provide their own booth or canopy. NOAC will not take a commission during or after the duration of the Tipi Pop-Up.
To be considered for this pop up, please submit one or two (max) works of art no later than August 9th to: markuswtracy@gmail.com Please email images using low resolution for easy download. Please include with image: Title, Medium, Date completed. After the submittal due date, we will contact you a few weeks prior to the exhibition. An Artist statement is not necessary during the submittal process. You may bring an artist statement during the Tipi Pop-Up but it should be kept with you or displayed at your booth or canopy. If you have questions or comments, please contact: markuswtracy@gmail.com or call: 702-330-7623. If artists need installation time prior to the exhibition, let us know several days prior to help make your accommodations possible.
