In Fiscal Year 2024, the South Dakota Arts Council awarded over $2 million in grant support to arts organizations, schools, artists, and other nonprofit organizations to support arts projects and programs throughout the state. This resulted in more than $29.6 million in additional local spending, with 357 grants impacting over 2.4 million.

The Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 study of non-profit arts organizations, including a statewide study and six local partner community studies, shows $362,987,163 in economic activity, supporting 6,054 jobs with 6,455,088 attendees to arts & culture events in 2022.
