In Fiscal Year 2025, the South Dakota Arts Council awarded nearly $2.1 million in grant support to arts organizations, schools, artists and other nonprofit organizations to support arts projects and programs throughout the state, resulting in nearly $35.9 million in local spending, as well as nearly $675,000 worth of additional in-kind contributions, on supported projects and programs.

The Arts & Economic Prosperity 6 study of non-profit arts organizations, including a statewide study and six local partner community studies, shows $362,987,163 in economic activity, supporting 6,054 jobs with 6,455,088 attendees to arts & culture events in 2022.
