The annual post-apocalyptic art show is back! The opening reception for Thunderdomesticity: The F-Word will be on Final Friday, May 31st at No. 7 Center Gallery, 7 Center Street, Vermillion, SD. The celebration begins at 5:00 pm and ends at 7:00 pm. This exhibition is hosted by the Packard Group, LLC, and it’s free and open to the public. Professional prints of the selected artwork will be displayed on the north exterior wall of No. 7 Center Gallery. Because this is the third annual Thunderdomesticity party, guests are encouraged to wear post-apocalyptic outfits as they enjoy light snacks, meet artists, and experience the epic artwork.

Thunderdomesticity: The F-Word is a national juried art exhibition that features powerful artwork created by artists across the United States. 47 artists unite to share artwork that is feminist, dystopian, and everything in between! Klaire Lockheart, host of the Femininity in the Post-Apocalypse podcast, served as juror and selected incredible photography, thoughtful paintings, delightful prints, and wonderful mixed-media pieces along with many other types of memorable artwork. Thunderdomesticity: The F-Word is an important art exhibition because it celebrates women during a time when feminine people often feel disenfranchised. This art installation celebrates the strength of all women, which provides a counterbalance to traditional doomsday narratives that frequent exclude or mistreat women.
