Liz Heeren is a wonderfully multi-faceted artist with a BA in Biology and Studio Art, MA in Art Theory/Art Education, and MFA in Painting. Whilst being a staple in the community for her artistic talents, she is also currently a full-time professor at the University of South Dakota and Director of Ipso Gallery in Sioux Falls. Heeren works with many different mediums, but the pieces in Alcove are part of an examination of graphs and figures. This artwork is exemplified by its defined lines, vibrant colors, and precision framed behind museum-grade glass. Stop by Alcove to meet the artist and get a chance to ask about her work!
