Now is the time to get into the swing with a St. Patirick’s themed “Shamrock Big Band Dance,” Friday, March 8.

Join us as we dance to live music performed by the Shrine Big Band, on the spacious hardwood-floored ballroom of the El Riad Shrine in downtown Sioux Falls. All are welcome to celebrate the approach of Spring with us.

The evening begins at 6:45 with a beginner dance lesson, free with admission to the dance, taught by instructor Lisa Myhre. Open dancing to music by the 17-piece Shrine Big Band begins at 7:30. The Shrine Big Band has decades of musical performance experience and a broad repertoire of music suited to your favorite dances; including swing, ballroom, two-step, and Latin dancing styles. And there will be opportunities for instruction in other partnered dances throughout the evening, along with popular line dances such as the Electric Slide, Shivers, and Fireball. Come wearing your favorite dressy, casual, or St. Patrick’s Day inspired attire. There is ample free parking on the street and in the large lot on the east side of the El Riad.
