Dr. Craig Howe, founder and director of the Center for American Indian Research and Native Studies (CAIRNS), and Caitlin Bordeaux, STEM Educator and recent NASA Intern, join SDHC to discuss the importance of Lakota Star Knowledge and its relationship to mainstream space science. What are some of the primary understandings of Lakota Star Knowledge? What is the interplay between this Knowledge and mainstream science? How has NASA taken an interest in this Knowledge, and what are the implications for its use in the development of STEM education?
