As the first event in the second year of its Dakota Prairie Concert Series, the Yankton United Church of Christ-Congregational is bringing Humbletown to its historic sanctuary (5th & Walnut) for a free concert on Friday, October 18, at 7 p.m. Humbletown is a bluegrass, old time, hot club swing, Americana, and classic country band, playing clawhammer banjo, flatpick guitar, upright bass, dobro, and more. The band was born in Vermillion but is now headquartered in the Black Hills. Their Yankton performance will be the beginning of a tour that will include Kansas City, the Twin Cities, Chicago, and many smaller venues, all organized around a gig at FARM (Folk Alliance Regional Midwest) later in October.
