The South Dakota Railroad Museum, Ltd. (SDSRM) is pleased to announce the first  annual Trees and Trains Christmas concert and community celebration.

Brothers James and Frank Van Nuys from Rapid City will present a selection of historic  Black Hills stories, historic images, vintage Christmas carols, and other musical  selections written and performed especially for this festive program – inspired by their  local family history – The original Bower Family Band of the late 1800s and 1900s.

During the performance, coffee and treats will be provided for the audience, as well as  homemade pastries, cookies and other seasonal treats. Other items will be available  for sale including original artwork by local and other students from around the State of  South Dakota.

All proceeds from the free-will donation and sales will benefit the Railroad Museum and  it’s continuing operations and educational programs.

“It will be a unique experience for the Museum to host these talented artists in Hill City,”  noted Rick Mills, curator of the Museum. “The addition to this afternoon of music and  humor, all attendees can visit the Trees and Trains exhibit across the street at the  Museum for no cost until closing that evening.”
