Wayne, NE. Wayne State College seeks submissions from artists working in outdoor mediums for the Wayne State College Outdoor Sculpture Competition. Submitted works should be capable of withstanding severe weather conditions. The selected sculpture(s) will be granted an honorarium of $1500 for a 12-month outdoor exhibit at Wayne State College. Interested artists should send three views of each proposed sculpture (maximum of 12 jpg images, 72 dpi, with no dimension exceeding 2000 pixels) via e-mail along with a short resume, artist biography, and image list in PDF format to anhasli1@wsc.edu. The application deadline for receipt of images is May 1, 2024. Selected artists will be notified before May 10, and selected work(s) are to be delivered and installed between mid-July and mid-August. There is no application fee. The sculpture could be installed at one of several sites on campus; the location will be determined in consultation with the artist.
