The Wein Gallery at Presentation College has had a very exciting two years.  The construction project was completed in September 2017 and our Grand Opening was held in October to guests from all over the Aberdeen area.  We have had numerous positive comments about the architectural design of the display case and the many options artists have to exhibit their varied pieces.

The October 2017-August 2018 Exhibit Calendar displayed artwork from all over South Dakota.  In September 2018-August 2019, our hope is to expand and exhibit pieces from additional areas of South Dakota and the upper Midwest.

Sister Anna Marie Weinreis, PBVM, served as professor of French and Academic Dean at

Presentation College for many years.  In addition to her teaching, Sister Weinreis wrote poetry that was published in “Pasque Petals”, and in her books titled “Sips of Wein” and “Vintage Wein”.  She also presented history papers at the annual Dakota Conferences, served as advisor for the college newspaper, directed the college plays and wrote a weekly newspaper column called “Draughts from the Wein Cellar”.  Sister Weinreis received numerous honors for her work throughout her career.

Presentation College is a four-year, private Catholic college sponsored by and receiving its traditions from the Presentation Sisters.  Nano Nagel founded the Presentation Sisters in Ireland in 1775.  Founded in 1951 and located in Aberdeen, South Dakota and since 2003, in Fairmont, Minnesota, Presentation College has a professions focus in the undergraduate programs, including arts & sciences, nursing, business, social work, and allied health.

“Welcoming people of all faiths, Presentation College challenges learners toward academic excellence and, in the Catholic tradition, the development of the whole person.”
