The Urbandale Art Park is a permanent outdoor sculpture park with annually changing exhibits, with four exhibits on display each year. The Art Park is located at 3600 86th Street, just south of Douglas Avenue and the Urbandale City Hall.

The Urbandale Public Art Committee will oversee the selection four sculptures for exhibition in the Urbandale Art Park during 2021-22. Selected artists will receive a $1,500 stipend for loaning the work for the exhibition. There is no application fee.

The exhibited artwork must be the original work of the artist (in concept and execution) and available for purchase. The advertised sale price should include a 25% commission that the Urbandale Public Art Committee will retain on pieces sold in the exhibit year.

Entry Requirements

Applicants seeking consideration for their work must complete an application form including:

o   A narrative of the artist’s concept and date of creation

o   A detailed explanation of how the piece will be secured or anchored when installed

o   Visual photographs depicting several views of the art work (in JPEG or PDF format)

o   A brief artist biography

o   List of professional references

o   Applications are due by 1:00 p.m. CST on Monday, November 16, 2020.
