This speaker series, hosted by the Short Grass Arts Council, has been an annual tradition in the Pierre/Ft. Pierre area for over 10 years. Tales on the River is held every Thursday evening in JUne, July (except July 4th) and August at 7:00pm at the Moose Lodge in Ft. Pierre. Scheduled speakers share their personal stories, their experiences, or perhaps their expertise on a variety of topics. “We believe that the art of storytelling brings people and communities together…everyone has a stroy to tell!” This event is free and open to the public. Donations are greatly appreciated! (The Ladies of the Moose provide a light supper starting at 6:15pm for a cost of $6.00 for those who wish to partake in the meal.)
