The Summer Teacher Institute, sponsored by the South Dakota Humanities Council and Gregory County Historical Society, is a 5 day field-trip style class that provides 3 free graduate/undergraduate credits for future and current educators. The topic is Lakota History and Culture: The intersection of Indigenous Life and White Settlement, and offers a look at historical happenings combined with current Native voices.
