The Monthly Lakota Cultural & Language Instruction will provide cultural teachings and discussions to encourage cultural identity development among indigenous youth and families. These teachings will strengthen families by learning Lakota language, cultural practices, creativity, and lifeways to promote healing, harmony and Wolakota (peace/balance) among families, and support the social, emotional, and cultural development of the Wakanyela (children). Based on Lakota values and ways of knowing and being, this series encourage understanding and awareness of Lakota culture for all community members, in order to better serve indigenous families.
