Arts Advocacy Day at the Legislature serves to heighten awareness and appreciation of the arts for our legislators and other decision-makers.

๐‰๐Ž๐ˆ๐ ๐”๐’! Weโ€™ll be celebrating in a variety of ways, including a performance by the TF Riggs High School Student Musicians & the Governorโ€™s Student Art Competition Exhibition

The South Dakota Arts Council and Arts South Dakota will present packets of information about the arts in South Dakota to legislators and state officials.

Capitol visitors will enter through the north doors and be directed into the Security Office for screening.

11:00 โ€“ 2:30 pm State Capitol for Arts Advocacy Day at the Legislature
11:00 โ€“ 1:30 pm Dessert will be served to Legislators in the Presidents & Speakers Lobbies, 3rd Floor

Capitol Rotunda
11:00 โ€“ 2:00 pm Governorโ€™s Student Art Competition Exhibition
12:00-12:15 pm TF Riggs High School Student Musicians will perform in the Capitol Rotunda under the direction of Gage Ruhlman, Director of Bands
2:00 โ€“ 2:30 pm Floor announcements recognizing Arts Advocacy Day at the Legislature in House & Senate, 4th-floor balcony visitorโ€™s seating.
