SATURDAYS, FEB. 3RD THRU MAR. 9TH, 1 pm to 4 pm.
In conjunction with the production process for Fiddler on the Roof, BHCT is offering costume construction classes for those who wish to learn some basic sewing skills and how stage costumes are created.
Session 1, Feb. 3 – Operating a Sewing Machine
Session 2, Feb. 10 – Fabric and Patterns
Session 3, Feb. 17 – Measurements, Minor Pattern Adjustments & Cutting
Session 4, Feb. 24 – Sewing a Garment Together
Session 5, Mar. 2 – Sewing a Garment Together
Session 6, Mar. 9 – Finishing Techniques (hemming, closures, minor adjustments)
In addition to the Saturday classes, we are requesting that students sign up for one three hour session Tuesdays thru Thursdays, either in the afternoons or evenings to work on costumes for Fiddler on the Roof. This will allow the student additional opportunity to receive practical experience.
