The Wayne (Nebraska) Public Art Committee is accepting submissions for the community’s second annual sculpture walk. The Wayne Sculpture Walk was established to increase the quantity and quality of public art in Wayne. The Committee’s goal is to beautify our community through the talents and inspirations of professional artists, while also providing unique experiences for our residents and visitors.

From the inception of the Wayne Sculpture Walk, the Committee planned for the selected sculptures to change each year. In our inaugural cycle (2021-2022), we selected 10 sculptures. For our 2022-2023 Cycle, the Committee will select up to 12 sculptures. If selected, artists will receive a $1,000 stipend, but will be expected to have their artwork delivered and installed before May 1, 2022.

Please submit an application with photographs and/or concept sketches by February 11, 2022. The chosen artists will be notified by February 25, 2022 to formally participate in this project. We expect to have all sculptures installed before May 1, 2022.

For complete details, please review the formal Call to Artists Letter and the Wayne Sculpture Walk Rules/Application Process (attached .pdf file).
