Sioux Falls, S.D., April 5, 2021 — Sioux Falls based Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce is inviting submissions for their upcoming curated exhibition, Art Sounds. They have partnered with KRGT Rock Garden Tour Radio to exhibit Ipso’s first radio-based show, which will air for two weeks next month.

Ipso Gallery is currently accepting submissions for show concepts until Friday, April 9 via www. pickfresh.com/art-sounds.

“We are excited to reinvent how we curate and showcase art at Ipso Gallery. With our COVID considerations still in place, we wanted to create something that was unique to how we exhibit art and still invite people to interact with Ipso, even if it’s not in-person quite yet,” said Liz Heeren, Director, Ipso Gallery at Fresh Produce.

This 12-year-old art space in Downtown Sioux Falls continues to strive in its exploration of art curation and showcasing the process of creativity. “We’ve heard that radio is one of the most visual mediums, and we wanted to tap into that with this show. How can you transport a listener through your sonic art, conceptual piece, storytelling or conversations with creative thinkers and makers,” she said.

“Artists can participate in a number of ways. We want artworks that could only be created for radio, and art discussions and programming that wouldn’t fit on traditional radio. So the parameters are pretty wide. If you have an idea, but are unsure if it fits Art Sounds, just shoot us a message,” said Heeren.
