Hello, my name is Lorna Gregerson and I’m a senior at Mt. Vernon School in Mt. Vernon SD.
For my senior project I will be hosting a surrealism art gallery and show in Mitchell SD.
The gallery will be open February 12-16 at The Back 40 in Mitchell SD with a reception being held on February 15.
Submissions are open to local artists, high school and college students in the South Dakota area. This is an opportunity to submit 1-3 pieces of artwork for the gallery. The artwork must be in the genre of surrealism using any medium and must be ready to hang on display. No artwork should exceed the size of 24in x 24in. The name of the piece and artist name should be provided with contact information. If selling work please list price. An artist statement is encouraged for the show.
The reception will be held at The Back 40 on February 15 from 6 pm to 8 pm. Beverages and light snacks will be provided. Artists are highly encouraged to come talk about their art.

**Submissions are greatly appreciated and have a huge impact on the turn out. I would appreciate it if teachers would spread the word and see if any of their students or any local artists they know of are interested in participating.
