The Traditional Arts Apprenticeship project grants support the instruction of traditional music, crafts, dance and other activities.  A skilled elder works with a selected apprentice to pass on traditional knowledge and techniques to the next generation. Teaching projects can run from July 1, 2021, through June 30, 2022.

The funding level is up to $4000, which can be used to pay the master’s instruction fees and for the student’s tools, supplies, travel expenses.

Applications can be submitted online or mailed by 5 PM on March 1, 2021.
