MacDowell is looking to engage with cultural organizations serving diverse populations of artists. In reaching new populations of artists, we hope to position artist residencies as pathways to success and build cultural equity for all artists. Please help us in our mission by sharing information about our approaching deadline for MacDowell Colony residencies with your artists.
Application Deadline: January 15th
The MacDowell Colony is a leading contemporary arts organization. Since 1907, our mission has been to create a space where inspiration happens on a daily basis. We do that by providing essential support for emerging and established artists by bringing together diverse, multidisciplinary talent to exchange ideas and pursue creative work. Artists accepted for residency receive fellowships that cover all residency costs, including use of a private studio, meals and accommodations for up to eight weeks in an ideal creative setting in rural Peterborough, New Hampshire.
We believe that all talented artists should have the opportunity a MacDowell residency provides, and there is no cost for a MacDowell Fellowship. Additionally, MacDowell offers financial assistance programs to those who have been awarded a Fellowship. These financial assistance programs are intended to help with or cover the costs of traveling to and from MacDowell, as well as expenses which artists expect to incur while in residence, including rent and lost income.
