Calling All Photographers for the 15th Annual Dahl Mountain Photo Competition + Exhibit
The Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) and the Rapid City Journal are once again partnering to inspire photographers to show their best work in the Dahl Art Center Galleries. The RCAC is seeking submissions for the 15th Annual Dahl Mountain Photo Competition + Exhibit, a juried photography exhibition based on mountain culture. All submissions are due by Monday, January 21, 2019. The exhibit will be on display from March 1 – April 20, 2019 during the Dahl Mountain Culture Festival.
Judges (professional photojournalists and regional artists) will select the show through a blind jury process. There are three exhibit categories – Youth (18 and under), Adult Amateur/Hobbyist and Adult Experienced/Professional. Judges will award First, Second and Third places in each category and a Best of Show Award. The Peg Sagan People’s Choice award will be announced at the end of the exhibit.

The Rapid City Arts Council receives support from generous members and donors, Allied Arts Fund, the City of Rapid City, and the South Dakota Arts Council with funds from the State of South Dakota, through the Department of Tourism and the National Endowment for the Arts. The Dahl Arts Center is a municipal facility managed by the Rapid City Arts Council and owned by the City of Rapid City.
