Good afternoon artists far and near,

We are pleased to inform you of our 13th annual Horizontal Grandeur Art Exhibition at the Stevens County History Museum in Morris, Minnesota.  The exhibit will run from June 18 – October 23, 2020, and we are now accepting submissions.  Please see the attached Call to Artists for specific dates and deadlines; feel free to share this broadly!

Any artist residing in a U.S. state or Canadian province with a prairie can enter their original work. Artists of all ages are welcome to submit their work.  All genres will be considered. The entry fee is $7.00 per piece with a maximum of six entries.  Did we mention there are modest cash prizes for Artists’ Choice and People’s Choice?

For more information, visit www.stevenshistorymuseum.com/horizontal-grandeur, email grandeur@stevenshistorymuseum.com, or call 320-589-1719.

P.S.  On a related note, the University of Minnesota, Morris is bringing a traveling exhibition to campus called We Are Water in partnership with the Minnesota Humanities Center.  The Stevens County History Museum is one of many area partners for this exhibit.  While our Horizontal Grandeur theme remains to be the prairie in general, we would love to see submissions with a focus on water.  No submission will be disqualified if it does not relate to water.
