PROJECT DESCRIPTION: Dakota Wesleyan University, in partnership with the DWU Class of 1970 is commissioning a suitable sculpture to be placed in front of DWU’s newly constructed School for Business, Innovation and Leadership. The work will be located in the outside area in front of the building so must be “public” in nature and created of durable and permanent material(s).
ARTISTIC GOAL: The goal of this project is to honor the work of the women of Dakota Wesleyan and others from the past and present – and to encourage and support current and future women students. The sculpture will add to the landscape and culture of the university and be a symbolic reminder of the contributions of women in all professions and areas of work.
