Call for Artists – Plein Air Poetry at International Vinegar Festival

Plein Air Poetry is poetry an artist creates from the inspiration of the place they are in at the time they are in it. Typically the poet comes, sits and absorbs the surroundings. The poetry is created from what is seen, heard, felt or smelt.

Northeast South Dakota is an area ready for discovery by Poets. For plein air poets it is a treasure trove of inspirational spots. There are many sights, sounds, and phenomena to stimulate verse and stanza.

The International Vinegar Festival has added a plein air poetry event to its great line up of performances. We are inviting poets from around the world to discover and wax poetic about the beauty here. The public is invited to come listen to the poets perform their poetry during the festival’s entertainment.
