AUDITIONS:
Saturday July 17th: 1:00pm-4:00pm
Sunday July 18th: 6:00pm-9:00pm

PREPARATION:

  1.  32 measures (about 60 seconds, or a verse and a chorus) of a comedic musical theatre song. The funnier the better – show us your silly, goofy and cheeky side. We want to laugh and have fun with you during your audition!

Bringing sheet music is highly preferred over pre-recorded tracks! Digital recordings of accompaniment are acceptable, but you must sing by yourself (no vocal tracks).  PLEASE no acapella auditions.

DANCE CALL:
Anyone auditioning who has previous dance experience is encouraged to attend the dance call on Saturday July 17th from 10:00am-12:00pm at the Performing Arts Center.  This is only for performers who have had formal dance training. Anyone else that the production team would like to see dance will be taught a dance combination at the callbacks.

CALLBACKS:
Monday July 19th 6:30pm, Performing Arts Center of Rapid City; Those who are needed to attend callbacks, will receive an email after the second night of auditions. Callbacks will consist of additional singing, dancing and reading from the script.

CASTING:
+Must be 8 years old or older to audition.
+Especially seeking dancers/gymnasts/tumblers of all ages – no theatrical experience required!
+The director and production team are deeply committed to diversity and encourage performers of all ethnicities, gender identities and ages, as well as performers with disabilities, to audition.

+Regular rehearsals (usually Sundays-Thursdays 6:30pm-9:00pm) will tentatively begin on Sunday August 1st.
