STEP/STAMP/REPEAT: Relief & Monotype one-day printmaking workshop

Cost: $80 per student
Location: Grove Hall Printmaking Studio on the SDSU campus, located between Mathews and Brown Hall Sponsored by the SDSU School of Design and Studio Art Program. Materials will be supplied. Students are encouraged to bring a sketchbook. Lunch will be provided. Please indicate any dietary requirements when registering. The workshop will include a tour of the South Dakota Art Museum.
WORKSHOP DESCRIPTION
Instructors: Diana Behl and Peter Reichardt, faculty from the Studio Art program
This workshop will provide students with the opportunity to explore relief and monotype printmaking techniques, ink mixing, making stencils, and carving blocks and printing. Color concepts through layering and image development will be introduced. Instructors will share various methods for students to develop their own images through these unique and accessible printmaking processes.
