Stan Adelstein & Lynda K. Clark Gallery of the Dahl Arts Center and will run from September 16th, 2022 through January 20th, 2023. As a part of the show, the RCAC will host a closing reception for Kimble Bromley on January 20th, 2023 from 5-7 pm with an artist’s talk at 5:45pm.

Each summer, Kimble sets up an outdoor studio for plein air painting by his pond near Fergus Falls, MN. Color Around the Pond takes inspiration from his own eight-acre pond in MN as well as a 2019 trip Kimble took to Claude Monet’s home and garden in Giverny, France. “I wanted to look at how he paints…Seeing his gardens, I can see where he got his inspiration.”

Kimble Bromley joined North Dakota State University as Coordinator of the Department of Visual Arts in 1996. He currently teaches painting, drawing and art history at NDSU. Kimble has traveled extensively in his career and done workshops and painting residencies abroad in Cuba, Jamaica, Ecuador and Mexico. Kimble has received over twenty professional development grants during his tenure at NDSU.
