The Rapid City Arts Council (RCAC) is pleased to announce Black Hills State University Graduate Exhibit. The show will be located in the Sen. Stan Adelstein & Lynda K. Clark Gallery of the Dahl Arts Center and will run from Friday, April 16th, through Saturday, May 22nd. As part of the show, the RCAC will hold an opening reception for these 30 Black Hills State University Graduating Students on Friday, April 16th, from 5 – 7pm.
Works in this exhibition feature BHSU seniors who graduated in December 2020 or are graduating in May 2021 with either a Bachelor of Fine Arts degree or a Bachelor of Science Degree in Education for K-12 Art Teaching. The exhibition will feature a variety of mediums, techniques, and concentrations as each student is responsible for creating their own personal visual narratives through their bodies of work. The class of 2020 and 2021 Fine Arts and Art Education majors are emerging artists and leaders who are excited to exhibit their capstone pieces at the Dahl Arts Center. This is the 2nd year that BHSU has seniors graduating with these two degrees exhibiting art at the Dahl Arts Center.
This exhibit is sponsored by BHSU College Liberal Arts Fund, Michael Baum and Desy Schoenewies, the Black Hills State Photography Program, the South Dakota Arts Council, and the Rapid City Arts Council.
