SUMMARY:Philip Daniel: Candlelit Piano Concert
DESCRIPTION:Join us for a mesmerizing CANDLELIT performance by Philip Daniel.\nPhilip Daniel has earned over 30 million streams worldwide because his music doesn’t ask you to sit still and listen politely. It pulls you in. The Lincoln-based pianist and composer trained at UMKC Conservatory and creates a sound that lives somewhere between contemporary classical\, cinematic scoring\, and something you’ve never quite heard before. He uses live-looping\, layered synths\, and percussion to build compositions that feel like they’re unfolding in real time. Influenced by Ólafur Arnalds\, Nils Frahm\, and Philip Glass\, Philip has released six studio albums\, scored original soundtracks for film and dance collaborations\, and built a following that includes both conservatory-trained musicians and people who just want to feel something when they listen. This is the kind of performance that stays with you days later.\nMarch 20th at 7pm\, Philip returns to The Matthews for a candlelit concert featuring two immersive 45-minute sets. Doors open at 6:30pm\, general admission seating\, bar open. The candles\, the acoustics\, the intimacy of the space—this is how live music is supposed to feel. Affordable tickets and a night that actually delivers.\nThe Matthews brings artists like Philip Daniel to downtown Spearfish because live performances like this matter. Moments like these are what keep creativity alive in the Black Hills.\nTickets are affordable and seats are limited. This is the kind of show you don’t want to miss because someone told you about it later. Grab your tickets now\, bring a friend\, and settle in for a night of music that actually moves you.

SUMMARY:Comedy Night with Jamie Campbell
DESCRIPTION:Critically-acclaimed comedian Jamie Campbell has spent the past decade turning his Midwestern charm into comedy gold on the stage and screen\, and now he’s bringing his Kinder Words national tour to Sioux Falls on Saturday\, March 21st for one night only at Lucky’s Downtown. \nFresh off of releasing a hilarious new special from Dry Bar Comedy – a skyrocketing production company that has launched big names such as Leanne Morgan and Brad Upton and helped notable comics such as Kevin Farley and Patrick Warburton reach new audiences – Jamie is hitting the road with a show that compelled critic Natalie Shaw of the Dallas Theatre Journal to call him a “comedy genius.” \nJamie is also an actor\, and his credits include appearances on shows such as NBC’s Chicago Fire\, PopTV’s Hollywood Darlings\, and the upcoming Christmas comedy Gingerbread Men. He has worked with WWE Hall of Famers including Jake “The Snake” Roberts\, has appeared in music videos for hiphop legend Tech N9ne\, and even co-starred in a Super Bowl commercial alongside Emmy-winner Kristin Chenoweth. \nCampbell has previously had an album\, Tell Me You’re Proud of Me\, reach #1 on the comedy charts and last year\, his independent special\, Big Dad Energy was named the year’s “Best Stand-Up Special” by Laugh After Dark. \nOn March 21st\, Jamie Campbell headlines the intimate Lucky’s 224 space downtown. Doors open at 7pm for pre-show cocktails and the show begins at 8. Local comedians John Small and Jacob Womack will perform as well. \nJamie Campbell’s act is chock-full of stories\, anecdotes\, and hilarious observations that will hit particularly hard with Gen-Xers and elder Millennials. The indie publication Blood Makes Noise called him “One of the most compelling voices in stand-up today.” \n“As a Gen-X mother of two…Jamie Campbell’s jokes hit dead center…goes toe-to-toe with the best comedians in the business!” – Natalie Shaw\, Dallas Theatre Journal \n“Quick wit & inventive riffing . . . uplifting humor & big laughs!” – Teme Ring\, Comedians Defying Gravity \n“Bombastic genius!” – Dan Telfer of Mad Magazine and Comedy Central \nJamie Campbell – Kinder Words Comedy Tour\nLocation: Lucky’s Downtown – Club 224\n224 N. Phillips Ave.\, Sioux Falls\, SD 57104\nDate/Time: Saturday\, March 21st at 8pm (doors at 7)\nPremium Tickets – $25\, General Admission – $20
