SUMMARY:The Dead & Down and My Second Rodeo
DESCRIPTION:Cascadel (formerly The Dead & Down)| April 10\, 7PM | The Matthews Opera House. Alt-country meets prog-rock in a sound that refuses to fit in one bin.\nCascadel is an indie roots-rock band that refuses to stay in one lane. Fronted by Taylor Burlage’s introspective songwriting and dusty vocals\, they blend alt-country\, atmospheric indie rock\, psychedelia\, and unexpected prog-rock detours into something that feels entirely their own. Their Montana roots run deep\, and so does their ambition—they’ve opened for Fruition\, Futurebirds\, and Blind Pilot\, and their 2024 release No Broken Bones proves they’re a band willing to take real chances. As one critic put it: “Alt-country\, but on the moon—and still so down to earth.”\nYou’re in for a night of music that stays interesting. April 10\, 2026 at The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center. Doors TBD\, show time 7:00 PM. Tickets are $20. My Second Rodeo opens the show. Come early\, stay late\, and bring friends who appreciate the kind of songwriting that makes you think and move at the same time.\nThis is the kind of music and artistry we’re proud to bring to downtown Spearfish. When bands like Cascadel choose to play here\, it’s a reminder that the Black Hills are on the creative map.\nGrab your tickets now. At $20 and with a night this good\, seats won’t wait around.
