DESCRIPTION:Experience Grieg in Dialogue\, a richly curated recital featuring Norwegian pianist Oda Voltersvik and members of the Dakota String Quartet and Rawlins Piano Trio. The first half of the program presents piano works by Edvard Grieg\, Agathe Backer Grøndahl\, and Wilhelm Peterson Berger\, highlighting “musical correspondances or similarities in the use of poetic moods and characters” . The second half features the highlight of the evening: the rarely performed Grieg Piano Quintet in B-flat Major\, EG 118\, completed in 2012 by composer Michael Finnissy\, whose contribution includes “a Scherzo: a Halling dance with imitation of music for Hardanger fiddle followed by a slow\, more introverted section” .

Bring any questions you might have\, or ways you’d like to get connected but maybe don’t know where or how to begin. The artsHUB is built to be a collaborative experience. \nWe will have large & small + digital & analog visuals to show you what the HUB is\, supportive ways to get started in the HUB\, and\, of course\, snacks\, refreshments\, and camaraderie!
