DESCRIPTION:In collaboration with Arts South Dakota and the South Dakota Arts Council\, the Augustana Music Academy (AMA) provides high-quality professional development for music educators teaching kindergarten through 12th grade. Held on Augustana University’s campus from July 6-9\, AMA offers a diverse blend of workshops and interactive sessions. Participants will have opportunities for hands-on learning equipping them with practical skills to enhance their teaching practices and better support their students. \nEducators can earn up to two graduate\, undergraduate or recertification (CEU) credits during the academy.

DESCRIPTION:Auditions: Missoula Children’s Theatre Residency – Aladdin\nJuly 6\, 2026 | 10:00 AM | The Matthews Opera House & Arts Center\nAuditions for Missoula Children’s Theatre’s residency production of Aladdin are open to students entering 1st through 12th grade (Fall 2026). No experience or advance preparation is needed—just enthusiasm and a willingness to participate!\nStudents will take part in a group audition led by professional touring directors\, featuring simple movement\, storytelling\, and ensemble activities designed to help identify roles that best fit each performer. Casting will be announced shortly after auditions\, with rehearsals beginning the same day.\nSelected students will spend the week rehearsing and preparing for a full-stage musical performance. This is a unique opportunity to build confidence\, make new friends\, and be part of a fast-paced theatrical experience from audition to final curtain in just one week.
