2020 South Dakota State Arts Conference

Call for Proposals

Arts South Dakota and the South Dakota Arts Council invite you to submit a proposal for the 2020 State Arts Conference, May 14-16 in Rapid City, SD.

During the 2020 State Arts Conference, there will be twelve professional development components that include seminars, workshops, and panel discussions. We welcome submissions that appeal to all ideas and topics as they relate to the arts in South Dakota.

KEY DATES

  • Call for Conference Proposals Open: September 15-November 1, 2019
  • Acceptance Notifications: December 1, 2019
  • Registration Opens: March 1, 2020

LEARNING OBJECTIVES.
All proposals must include a minimum of three (3) learning objectives. These should be clear, concrete, and have direct applicability to the field.

FORMAT.
We are looking for a variety of session formats: proposals may be submitted as panels, interactive workshops, research, or discussions! Each session length is set to 1 hour and 15 minutes. We are seeking as fully-formed a session proposal as possible.

TOPICS.
Topics/tracks may include, but aren’t limited to: advocacy, digital marketing, equity, arts education, arts & healing/health, fundraising, grant writing, non-profit management, board development, rural arts, & tourism.
